Chatham Quilters

July 2007

Wow!  Can you believe it’s July already?  This year is flying by.  I hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July.

Breakfast at Chatham – mark you calendars for July 10th at 8:30am!  Harold, the gentleman in charge of Chatham Rec Center, would like to make breakfast for us in appreciation for the quilt we made for Relay for Life (also because we’re a good bunch of ladiesJ).  We need to provide him with an approximate number of people that will be attending, so if you can make it, tell Ilga at our Tuesday (7/3) morning meeting, or give her a call at 259-5833.

The Program Committee is asking for your help.  They are in the process of scheduling instructors for 2008, and would like some input regarding which classes would be of greatest interest to our members.  The instructors are as follows:  Carol Henry; Beth Ferrier; June Colburn; Ellen Lindner; Sunnie Malesky; Linda Matthews; Linda Poole; and Sharlene Jorgensen.   The next few weeks there will be a folder at our weekly meeting with the classes that are available through these instructors.  Please take a moment to look through this folder and indicate which classes interest you the most.

* On October 16, Lorene Gruber will be teaching a class called the Funky Rooster.  This one will tickle your funny bone.

* In November, Maureen Girardin will be teaching a sweatshirt jacket class.  Gorgeous!

Also, while on the website, make sure you check out the info for the 2009 quilt show.
