Chatham Quilters - August
2008
UFO Challenge:
Item #3 on your list is due Tuesday, August 12.
Upcoming Classes at Chatham:
* Sept. 16, CRAYON QUILT.
You will be making a sample square at this class. The only supplies
needed are a box of crayons (96 count is recommended), and something
that will provide a smooth base to work upon. Judy will provide a
pattern on a 9" fabric square. It's optional to bring an iron,
but we'll have one available for use at the class.
* Oct. 21, CHATHAM'S
GARAGE SALE. Only items that are quilt or cross-stitch related.
Upcoming Elections:
It's time to start thinking about nominees for officers of the Guild and
Chatham's Chapter. Chatham's positions are Vice-President and
Treasurer. If you are approached to fill a vacancy, please give it
your consideration. Also, if you are interested in a position, contact
Joy Lynch (Guild officers) or Kay Hasson (Chatham officers).
Quilt Show:
Time's flying! You now have less than one month to submit your
entry form, which is due NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 7
(A photo of the quilt is due by than Nov. 1).
Entries/photos should be turned in to me (Joanne Reese). If you are
reading this while you are away, you can access the forms by clicking on:
GUILD CHRISTMAS PARTY:
This year's Guild Christmas Party will be held at the December 2nd evening
meeting. The only charge for admission -- you must bring an appetizer
that can be shared with 8-10 people.
