Chatham Quilters
February Newsletter
What a great quilt show -- so many lovely
quilts! To everyone who participated, you're all winners in our eyes!
Many thanks to everyone that volunteered their time to work at the show, and
especially Joy Lynch and Bev Jahn for all their hard work to make the quilt
show possible. This was a huge undertaking and they did an amazing job!
Welcome to our new Chatham Quilters:
Lyn Anderson, Marian Gourley, Diane Witte, and returning Betty King.
Regarding our membership: On January
20th, there was a motion by Joy Lynch to cap our membership at 90 members; it
was seconded by Rita Dallago; 56 votes in favor and 2 votes opposed.
During the month of February we will be working on our Pictorial Directory
for 2009. If you've noticed errors in your information on last year's
directory, let me or Kay know and we will make the
correction.
Retreat: If you are taking one of
Dawn's classes, you should stop at her shop (Sew Cherished in Fruitland
Park) to pick up the pattern and necessary supplies. Dawn is offering a
10% discount if your buy your fabric for the class from her (in last
month's newsletter I wrongly stated it would be a 15% discount--my apologies
for this error).
Some upcoming classes through Sew
Cherished, call 352-787-5001 to sign up (click on links for more information):
