Chatham Quilters
June 2009
There is a new group forming in The
Villages that will focus on learning EQ5 or 6. They will be meeting
the first Tuesday of each month at Laurel Manor from 11:00-1:00. The
first meeting will be on June 2nd.
On 5/26 a motion was passed to reimburse Kay Hasson for a print cartridge
-- Kay made labels that will be sewn on to the Gifts of Love quilts.
See Kay if you need a label.
Chatham Class:
On June 16, Carol Conover will be presenting a class (at
Chatham) on 4-in-1 placemats. Supplies needed are: 4
fat quarters, fusible interfacing (woven is preferred, but either will
work). Also bring your machine and basic sewing supplies.
UFO Challenge:
The next UFO is #4 on your list. It should be completed by July
28.
Blotto: Congratulations to Alma Company, the
winner of the May blotto. Alma has kits for the July blotto.
The monthly Guild Meeting is 7:00 PM on
Tuesday, June 2, at Laurel Manor. The guest speaker
is from Fireside Quilt Shop in Sanford. Remember to
wear your nametags. The programs planned for the evening
meetings for the remainder of the year are as follows:
July - Bring a covered dish for 8 people
August - Guild Garage Sale
September - Sew Cherished
October - Demo Night (we need volunteers for
demos)
November - Joan Shay (Petal Play)
December - Christmas Party
Secret Sisters: Third Tuesday of the
month (June 16).
Reminder: Please
let me know if you are changing your email address.
Happy Quilting!
