The monthly Guild Meeting is 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 1, at Laurel Manor.  Guest speaker will be Dawn from Sew Cherished.  Future programs are as follows:

WE HAVE BEEN INVITED:  The Quilters of Lake Miona have invited Chatham Quilters to a Social on Tuesday, September 15.  On that day we will meet at Chatham and carpool to Lake Miona.  Additional details will be discussed at our regular weekly meeting.

BUS TRIP TO THE WORLD QUILT SHOW IN WEST PALM BEACH -- Dates have been changed to Nov. 13-14 (one night instead of two).  Let Joy Lynch know if you are interested ASAP!!

Election of Officers:  We need a volunteer to be on the nominating committee for either the Guild or for Chatham.  This year the terms for Chatham's President and Secretary will expire.

September Social: Our next Social will be on September 29.  Our guests will be the quilters from Mulberry.  You are asked to bring the following if your last name begins with:

A-H – Bread item

I-R – Casserole

S-Z – Dessert

Secret Sisters:  Third Tuesday of the month (September 15).

BLOTTO:  Congratulations to June Gist, the winner of the August Blotto.  The next Blotto will be in October.

UFO Challenge:  The next UFO is #3 on your list.  It should be completed by September 22.

Chatham Quilters Holiday Party will be on December 15.  This year it will be a catered party.  More information will follow.

On 8/11/09, Kay informed us that she had been offered $125 for one of the antique quilts that we have available.  A motion that we accept the offer was made by Marilyn Crosby, seconded by Alice Besler; all in attendance voted in favor.

On 8/25/09, Kay discussed having both a recording secretary and a newsletter secretary for Chatham.  A motion was made and seconded against creating a second position; all in attendance voted in agreement.
