email Alice with suggestions, problems and comments
Quilter’s Dream – panty raid – donate 3 pack of undies in
month of February, get ˝ yard of fabric. Change placement of table is Sea
Breeze room for meetings.
Ellen: left over items from Boutique – claim these.
March 1 guild meeting – garage sale – proceeds go to person.
Feb 1 guild meeting – showcase winners display quilts
Brenda – distributed folders for retreat.
Sheddy – distributed Block of the Month pattern for February.
Result of Guild meeting time questionnaire – they will try to
alternate afternoon and evening meetings. February 8
Alice – panty raid – no group contributions, only individual
Sea Breeze will have its own yard sale on March 8th.
March 19 is National Quilting Day.
March 15 – Sea Breeze will have a one year anniversary
celebration.
March 29 – Sea Breeze is invited to a social at Chatham Quilters
– bring show and tell.
A summary of income from the Quilt Show was presented.
On the first meeting of the month, bring completed Blocks of the
Month to show and tell.
At the second March meeting Ginny Cope will distribute directions
for the La Borsa handbag. February 15

Alice presented Mary Elizabeth with a gift for all she does for our
group. She also presented a scholarship to 4 people who took quilting
classes.
It was decided to limit our business meetings and show and tell to
the last meeting of the month.
On March 18th there is a bus trip to the American Sewing
Guild Expo in Lakeland.
Ginny will teach the La Brosa purse to those people not going on
the retreat at the March 1st meeting. These rest will have the
class on March 22nd and the beginning of April.
Block #3 of the Block of the Month will be distributed at the March
1 meeting and also at the Quilting Retreat.

Challenge quilt entries for the Quilt Show must be turned in at the
Guild meeting tonight.

There was an article about the quilt show in the Daily Sun. There
are sign up sheets for the quilt show (meet and greet). Barbara O’Brien
is collecting boutique items.

Quilt Show – we still need people for meet and greet, Friday Jan
28 from 2 – 5 PM for front door and Saturday at the side door. There
will be a shuttle running between Saddlebrook Rec Center and Savanah
Center.
Birthdays – we will recognize months birthdays on the first
meeting of the month. Everyone will put in fat quarters and the chapter
will match that. Thelma,
Carol W and Barbara Connelly will shop for the fat quarters.
We voted to change the name of charity quilts to comfort quilts.
Next week we will bat and back comfort quilts in the closet.
Ellen sent a card to the husband of Beth Bender who is ill.
Jeanette Flint was in the hospital over Christmas.
Senior Adventures has a bus trip to Suwanee Valley for the March 12
quilt show. ($31)
The March 18th trip to the American Sewing Guild show is
$27.
Mary Ann gave out a questionnaire concerning the timing of Guild
meetings. January

Alice – everyone must sign a recreation release agreement.
Free admission to our Quilt Show with 2011 membership card.
The balance for the SB Retreat is due by Feb 28th. Give
this to Alice.
Janet Brennan is ill. Mary Elizabeth’s father passed away.
Alice brought up our donating to Operation Homebound (they cook and
deliver meals to the homebound). A discussion ensued as to whether we
should do this. We will hold off for more information.
Carol Windle – Treasurer’s report. At present we have a balance
of $1277.23. Suggestions for purchasing items include a new ironing board
and iron.
Thirteen members will attend the American Sewing Guild Expo via
Senior Adventures.
Ginny Cope will teach Ocracoke quilt on February 1st.
