Quilting Guild of The Villages (QGOTV)

Oct 4th - Pat will demo how she machine quilted and put her Santa blocks together.

Oct 11th - Cathy Stone will demo her Lattice ruler; the quilt she made using this technique was beautiful

Oct 18th - we will work together to make our friendship blocks using the new heart pattern; we hope to have the pattern this week

We also have quite a few blocks cut in the storage room. We could assemble some of these for our charity quilts.

Oct 25th - possible Rockledge trip; Donna is checking on the price of buses and or vans

Nov 1st - Halloween party; the name will be drawn to receive the blocks; snacks also

Dec 6th - our Christmas blocks will be due.

The items that we are donating for the good of our treasury will be due by Nov 1st. We will discuss and vote on the best method of doing this on October 4th. Suggestions have been: Chinese auction, silent auction and or a live auction. More to come…

This Tuesday is the Quilt Guild meeting. 7:00 at Laurel Manor

The retreat is approaching. All money due for the retreat should be paid to Cathy Stone. The money for the classes should be paid to Jackie Perez.

Dues are due this month. If you are making out a check, please make it payable to Norma Jean Meyer. The amount is $15.00 ($10 for our chapter and $5 for the Guild).

We will start doing the 50/50 again this Tuesday.

There will be a bus trip to the Sewing and Quilting Expo in Lakeland on Feb 23rd 2012. Contact Laura Tomich at 352 - 259- 1200 for more info.
