Alice: At the Executive Board meeting it was asked that someone keep track of each chapter's waiting list. Anne Sobocinski volunteered.
Elaine Jackson has made labels for our comfort quilts. Mary Elizabeth will attach them. The quilts will be going to 12 girls in a cabin at the Sheriff's Youth Ranch. Each will get a quilt, pillowcase and tote bag (containing toiletries).
There is a guild meeting tonight.
June 7th is our trip to Deland.
Brenda: the March 2012 retreat will be at Lake Yale (change) on March 27, 28 and 29.
A double is $85 and single is $138. Payments are on Jan 10, Feb 14 and Mar 13. We need a minimum of 20 people.
May 17
There was a discussion about the comfort quilts for the cabin girls.
We have enough drivers for our Deland trip on June 7.
Bette Nelson: we will go to Panera (Lake Sumter) on May 31st.
Carol Windle (Treasurer's Report): We voted to purchase and Accuquilt and dies. We will spend some money having our comfort quilts quilted. Do we want to go on a bus trip to Suwanne Valley? Anne S. will get information and coordinate.
Alice: Sea Breeze is responsible for the Guild meeting in October.
May 24
The Guild by-laws are being updated. The 7 PM meeting time will be removed for more flexibility.
Wear shirts on June 7 trip. We will be making pincushions.
Anne S. : The Suwannee Valley trip will be November 15th. We need 40 people for the bus. We will invite another chapter.
Alice: We have asked for more shelves in our closet and access to the room at other times.
The Quilt Trolley will be at the Hampton Inn in Lady Lake starting in October.
By the October Guild meeting the star blocks for the raffle quilt should be completed by chapters. Linda Spence will be quilting it.
May 31
Anne S. will be our Sea Breeze historian - coordinating photos and news articles.
Alice: we have have 3 extra shelves in the closet. On the authorized list for access are the officers (Alice, Brenda, Carol, Judy, Ellen and Mary Ann).
May 28 there was a meeting to work on the 2013 raffle quilt.
We need to reorganize the closet. Mary Elizabeth recommended the 1st Baptist church in Leesburg for some of our comfort quilts. They are creating a homeless shelter in a motel.
Mary Ann: to the July 5 Guild meeting it is requested that we bring patriotic quilts for the show and tell. There will be ice cream for all. August is the Christmas planning meeting. Bring these types of quilts for the show and tell.
