SEA BREEZE CHAPTER MINUTES:  SEPTEMBER 2011
September 6
The new Sterling Heights Chapter will be at guild meeting wearing red badges. On September 20th we will visit Sterling Heights to welcome them to the guild.
We lost two people to the new Sterling Heights chapter. We now have two openings.
We were thanked for collecting the bottle caps.
There will be an Heirloom Quilt sale. Info and sign up on the board.
Sew Many Things will have a shop hop in October.
The vendor mall charge will be $7 and $5 for members of the guild. Free for anyone who works.

September 13
Joyce Halloran added hair to her quilt binding.
The vendors who will be at One Stop Shop Hop in January are listed on the Guild website (MarketPlace2012). The chapter president from Mulberry is organizing all of the committees. Sea Breeze will sell wristbands at the mall. The mall will use two rooms - the theater and the banquet room.
Bette requested ideas for our out to lunch this month.
Mary Ann supplied the gift we will bring to Sterling Stitchers when we visit (table leg risers). We should bring projects and show and tell. We will also invite them to join us on our trip to Suwannee Valley in November.
Sea Breeze will coordinate the guild meeting in October. Mary Ann will be in charge of this.
Anne - the date of the Suwannee Valley trip will be changed.
September is National Sewing Month. ASG will have a table at Joann's on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

September 27
Alice and Mary Ann attended the memorial for Jeanette Flint's husband.
We received a thank you note from Sterling Stitchers. They requested some patterns for projects from our show and tell.
Carolyn Heald will be at our meeting next week at 8:30 to meet with our members attending the guild retreat in October.
Carol is collecting $20 (for Anne) for our trip to Suwannee Valley.
Guild dues will be $20 for 2012 ($5 goes to the Guild; $15 goes to our Chapter). This amount does not include raffle tickets this year. They will be sold separately. Carol will start collecting next week. We will get our 2012 membership cards after she turns in the money to the Guild.
Next week at the Guild meeting there will be nominations for officers. Since Alice cannot be president of both the Guild and our chapter we will need to elect a new president.
Mary Ann - Guild meeting agendas are posted on our bulletin board. For the December holiday party our chapter will supply the paper goods - no food. Please put money in the can to cover these.
There is a sign up list for volunteers to host the guild meeting next week. Sea Breeze will also present the completed block for the charity quilt (raffle). They will do this before the show and tell.
