The regular meeting of the Quilting Guild of The Villages was held September 6, 2011.
The meeting was called to order by President Jeanette Flint at 7:00 p.m. and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited by the members.
President Flint welcomed the newest Guild chapter from Sterling Heights. She thanked instructor Dale Angione and the other officers for attending the first meeting of this chapter to assist in its start-up today.
The Secretary's and Treasurer's reports were given. There are currently 649 paid guild members.
Ann Moroz reported on the vendor show which will be held January 21st and 22nd, 2012 at The Savannah Center. There are 45 booths reserved and she thanked all who have volunteered to help.
Vice-president Micki MacCumbee reported on upcoming programs.

• December - Christmas Party with guest speaker Teddy Pruitt
Two quilt-as-you-go classes have been added for March 5th and 6th and will be conducted by Marie Anderson from Material Girl Quilt Shop. An additional class is being added for Mark Sherman's machine trapunto. Debbie Jones, Fiber Artist will conduct a no-sew jewelry class. A sign-up table was available with project samples.
Micki thanked Marilyn Palusak for her work on the Guild's website as the links provided have resulted in contacts from teachers interested in presenting classes to our Guild.
Members were asked to consider representing the Guild by participating in The Villages Christmas parade.
Micki then introduced the evening's guest speakers from Stitching My Memories in Clermont, FL. Pat Ferguson and Carol Martin presented a trunk show which was followed by a lecture on Superior Threads.
Thirty quilters participated in Show and Tell. There were eight 50/50 winners. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
