Quilting Guild of The Villages (QGOTV)

Meeting was called to order at 1:20 pm by President Paula Mooney. Both the Treasurer and Secretary were absent. There was no Treasurer's report and the Secretary's report can be found on our web site.

Quilt Retreat: Monique needs a check for the retreat deposit. So far 15 individuals have signed up.

If you need a check for anything, please send Janice an email detailing the reason for a check and the amount needed.

Magazines:

We finally have a book case. Thank you for all book donations. Marlene is going to do a card catalog. Marge Hopkins brought in binders of various patterns that she has cut out of magazines over the years. If you would like to borrow a pattern, pull it out of the binder and then replace it when you are finished with it.

Guild Donation Quilt: Seabreeze is responsible for the next Guild Donation QUILT. Each chapter will be required to make some blocks. We have provided the batik fabric as requested but are still awaiting the block kits.

Children's Charity Quilts: We agreed that every fourth Tuesday would be designated for charity quilt making if you'd like to participate.

Program Committee: July Guild meeting is Red, White and Blue night and will be an ice cream social put on by Ollie's. Bring in any patriotic quilt you'd like to Show and Tell. Classes are open for enrollment - Texture Magic, Lights and Quilts, Machine Trapunto. Check out the Guild web site for information on all classes.

Proposed changes to the by-laws of the Quilt Guild: No voting is required on the changes at our meeting. The only change that affects us is that the time of the monthly Guild meeting has been taken out of the by-laws. All other changes are cosmetic and should be voted in at a Guild Meeting.

The Quilt Trolley will be at the Hampton Inn parking lot various times during the year. Check our bulletin board for times.
