Allamanda is an informal group that likes to get together to work on whatever projects members have going on at the time. All levels and types of quilters are welcome. Service projects help beginners learn along with more experienced quilters to teach the basics while making charity quilts. The Chapter holds an annual retreat and organizes several technique-related workshops throughout the year, co-sponsors a 4-H group through the Sumter County Extension Office, has a block-of-the-month program, and plans shop hops when the meeting space is being used as a voting precinct.
