January 8th, 2013 will be a Guild Garage Sale at Paradise Recreation Center.  The B's and Piecemakers have graciously given up their meeting rooms for the garage sale to be held. More information will follow.

Standing Committee Reports:
-    Marilyn Paluszak, Webmaster, has updated chapter information on the website.  She is still waiting for Chapters to provide the name of their charity project recipients for 2012.  Email your list to Marilyn at webmaster@QGOTV.org.
-    Joy Lynch reported our membership is now at 726.  A Chatham member has agreed to collect newspaper articles for the scrapbook.  Joy is continuing to follow-up with the Mark Twain Library to take the Guild scrapbooks.
-    Ann Moroz stated there is nothing to report at this time on Marketplace 2014.
-    Carole Schroeder reported she has a signed contract for the Savannah Center for the 2013 Showcase.  Carole received a request from an outside group to borrow/rent our new quilt hanging system.  After discussion, Tonya Brock moved we do not loan or rent the new hanging system; seconded by Donna Kudner and carried.

Unfinished Business:
Each Chapter reported on a few activities that they felt would be useful to share.  President Nicholas commented on how active our guild members are and thanked everyone for their reports.  Our Treasurer, Lucy Verbois reminded everyone that because we are a not for profit organization, she must report all charitable activities/donations at year end so please keep a running report for her.

Announcements:
-    Mackey Nylin, the first President of our Guild recently passed away.
-    Bev Reep, a former Piecemaker member also passed away.
-    John Rohan's wife is battling cancer.  Keep these people and their families in your thoughts.
-    The Chapter Presidents were reminded to sign their facility permits for 2013.
-    Joy Lynch announced Chatham has a bus going to the Jacksonville Quilt Show.  Call Alice Bessler at 751-4745 if you are interested.
-    Lucy Verbois asked the secretary to remind members that each chapter gets two votes at the Executive Board meetings so if the President and/or Member at Large is not available to attend, a substitute should be sent to the meeting to retain voting privileges.

One representative from each Chapter selected a LaBorsa Bag made by the SeaBreeze quilters from batik fabrics left over from the charity quilt.  This bag should be awarded to the member of your chapter who sells the most quilt chance tickets.

Mary Ellen Mineo moved we adjourn at 4:40 pm, seconded by Judy Porter and carried.

Respectfully Submitted,
Joyce McKee, Secretary
