Christmas at the Quilting B's

On November 27, the B's invited representatives from the Lady Lake Elementary School to receive a donation of quilts.

David Bordenkircher, principal at Lady Lake Elementary, and Marti Young, school secretary, came to our quilt meeting and accepted 35 quilts that were created by our chapter members.

These quilts will go to the needy families of the school children. In some cases where the children have no gift for their mother, they are allowed to go "shopping" in the quilt store at the school.

Several of the B's went shopping for our Christmas family. At our December 10 meeting, we had a wrapping party. Our shoppers did a great job of selecting wonderful gifts, a food gift card and staying within the budget. Each family member also will receive a quilt.
