Mulberry Chapter Minutes - August 7, 2012
The meeting was started at 9:05 by Carolyn Heald, President with birthday announcements and refreshments.
The meeting was called to order at 9:25 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Carol Knoll read the Secretary's report, was accepted by Joan Henry, seconded by Lucie Verbois.
Carol Knoll presented the Treasurer's report and it was filed for review.
Tonia Brock, Vice President announced:
August 21st - Dale will be giving a Christmas Tree Snippets class. The cost is $5.00
Sept. 11th - Rose will be giving a Yo Yo demo and class. The cost of the kit is $1.00
Oct. 30th - Garage Sale - only quilting and sewing related items
November 6 is the shop hop bus trip - the cost is $23 per person
Fat quarters were won by: Jane Ruth Del Favero, Carol Knoll, Patty Rizzo and Brooke Black
Dale Angione, Executive Board Representative, announced:
Chatham is sponsoring a bus trip to the Jacksonville show. The cost is $31.00. Call Alice @ 751-4745 if interested.
If you are interested in teaching a class at the guild, you must submit a proposal and photo of the item for consideration to the guild.
Denise Lasley, Guild Program Representative, announced:
August program will be a game of sudoku with fabric
September program - Fiber Art Chix
Fiber Art Chix with have two classes in Sept.: 4th - Pumpkin; 5th - Free form art
Carol Knoll read a thank you letter from the Wildwood Food Pantry.
Gift basket was won by Bobbie Welter
Blotto won by Carol Shephard and Barbara Fish. July's blotto was presented by Dianne Cook
Gail Richards presented the completed banner for the Showcase of Quilts. A great job was done by Gail, Rose Luehrsen, Carol LaFleur, Dianne Cook and Doris Woodward.
Beautiful quilts and quilted items were displayed.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:05 a.m.
