Carolyn Heald started the meeting at 9:05 a.m. with birthday announcementes, and refreshements.
The meeting was called to order at 9:18 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Secretary's report for August was read and corrections made.
Carolyn Heald read the Treasurer's report - filed for review.
Tonia Brock, the VP announced:
- September 11, Rose will teach a yo-yo class
- Need someone to chair the Christmas family
- Deland quilt and craft fair is the weekend of Sept 29-30
Dale Angione, Executive Board Rep:
- In house classes - will have list of teachers, classes available for the chapters
- October - Marge Engel
- See web site for list of classes
- 737 members
- Silent auction - Dec 1 is the deadline
- Chapter has to submit 8 items
- Need to sell more charity quilt tickets - not enough money has been made
- Storage area at Knox - need to go into larger space
- Need nominating committee - VP & Secy open - see Alice Nichols
- There is an excess of $29K - no plans on how to spend it
Denise Lasley:
- new prices - each chapter host for the guild meeting asking for more rotation next year
