MULBERRY CHAPTER MINUTES:  OCTOBER 2, 2012
Carolyn Heald started the meeting at 8:59 with birthday announcements, refreshments and the introduction of new members.  Ann Moroz drew for this quarter’s UFOs – Carol Knoll won. Next quarter number 3 is due the first meeting of January 2013

The meeting was called to order at 9:15 with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Donna Blodgett, the Secretary read the minutes from September, motion made for approval by Joan Henry and seconded by Patty Rizzo.

Carol Knoll, the Treasurer, read the financial statement – filed for review.

Tonia Brock, the Vice President discussed
- The November 6 bus shop hop: going to the Quilt Shop of Deland, Accent on Quilting in Orange city and the Birds Nest in Ormond Beach.
- Christmas family – Char, Madeline, Jessie and Jamie Rush will shop; wrap on November 28.  Let Madeline know if you will be able to supply wrapping paper, tape etc.
- Charities – 3 more – distribution will be December 11.  Will need more quilts for the Hands of Mercy, Angle Flight and the American Legion.
- The Christmas party is coming along.  It will be held on December 18th.  Bring a wrapped $10 gift.  Requested $100 more as the cost of food has gone up – motion made by Carol Lefleur and 2nd by Dale Angione.  Passed.
- Showcase of quilts boutique – a meeting will be held soon.  Judging committee will be looking for volunteers.

The 2013 slate of officers are:
    President – Mary Ann Pankowski
    Vice President – Patty Rizzon
    Treasurer – Carol Knoll
    Secretary – Donna Blodgett
Voting will take place at the November meeting with installation in December.

Dale Angione, Executive Board Representative:
- Bradenton, new recreation center will have its own quilting group, and will meet in the afternoon
- Guest presenter form is at the rec center, and must be filled out
- Jill Smithson – is the chair of the in house teachers
- Sulky February 8 or 20 & 21
- There are now 744 guild members
- Dues for 2013 are due by December 15th
- Wildwood community – Marketplace

Denise Lasley:
- Mary Engle tonight
- Sulky 3 ½ day
- Pat Nagle (Quilt in a Day) April 16
- Christmas parade – golf cart – December 8

Carol LeFleur and Ginger Cullen, Membership: 2 new members for a total of 88 members
Barbara Morse, Librarian – going through donations, some will go into the library, others to be sold

Fat Quarters were won by:

    Anita Kinsel

Blotto won by Joan Henry
Gift basket won by Tonia Brock
A new blotto, aprons, was presented by Gae.

The meeting was closed at 10:15 with a display of beautiful quilted items.
