We celebrated March birthdays.
New classes offered by the guild will be posted on the bulletin board. One class mentioned is Quilt as You Go.
Brenda asked that we hand in health forms for the upcoming retreat.
March 13
There is a garage sale that will have fabric and craft supplies on Saturday from 9 - 1 at Calumet Grove.
Becky Anderson is collection quilts at the FB church in Leesburg.
Pat Knoechel is giving a presentation on Tuesday April 17th at Bridgeport Rec Center at 9:30 a.m. About 20 of us will attend.
Tickets to sell for the guild charity quilt are now available. Take a picture of the quilt with you when you sell these. The money is going to Haven (for abuse victims). See Haven online.
Barb O'Brien is collecting items for the show boutique in January. Put your name and price on these.
The final payment for the retreat is due.
March 20
Brenda has information on the snippet class. We will have two irons and two ironing boards at the retreat.
Barb Holtermann is not attending the retreat. Mary Elizabeth will teach the paper piecing class for her.
Sheddy has asked us to bring snacks to share. We are in the Macquire Education Center.
Anne S. - On April 3rd we will have a fund raiser and garage sale. Look through your sewing stuff. There will be a silent auctions and sales tables - proceeds go to club.

Our garage sale made $310.
The guild raffle quilt has been appraised for $2,225.
Charity quilts - we need to make an additional two quilts a year. Discussion - should John quilt these and how much should we allocate for these. We need an accounting of our comfort quilts. We need a notebook next to the sign in sheet to keep track.
For the sheriff's ranch - should we make quilts for the house parents?
Mary Ann - For quilt camp 2013 - there are 9 spaces left. Also - look at bulletin board or guild website for classes being offered by the guild.
Bring a can of food to the Pat Knoechel presentation on April 17th.

If you are interested in teaching something at a meeting or would like to learn something let Sheddy know and she will pass this along.
For the Showcase 2013 challenge there are packets available from Gwen Piersal (750-4097).
Barb O'Brien - boutique items can be donated by the chapter or individual. Our club gets either the whole amount or a % can go to the guild. We need ideas for small items for us to donate. One idea - small change purses. Barb is still collecting soda can tops.
Sheddy has forms to enter quilts in Showcase 2013.

Brenda - our out to lunch today has been changed to Bob Evans. They are giving 15% of each check to the Sheriff's Youth Ranch.
Warm & Natural batting has been ordered for Sea Breeze.
Ginny - suggestion - that each member make a block using a common background and it will be assembled using quilt as you go. This will then be given to the house parents at the Youth Ranch.
