Hearts & Hands Report
Marilyn D. shared the progress being made in regards to our Hearts & Hands projects. We have 2 benefactors for which we will be providing quilts:
** Moffit Cancer Center-lap quilts for patients receiving ongoing treatments.
**Christian Care Center-Children's Center in Leesburg, Fl-quilts for the children residing at the shelter.
The 3rd Tuesday meeting of the month will be designated as our Hearts & Hands project workday. All members will be involved in working on a project of this nature on this day.
2012 Retreat Committee Report
Carol gave an update on the retreat that is scheduled for Sept. 11-13 at Lake Yale. We currently have 26 members, with a few more members displaying interest in attending. We have entered into a contract with Lake Yale and our first deposit has been sent in.
Important Dates: Final payment must be received by June 26th from all members attending. Last date to add participants is July 10th.
Thanks to Carol for all the hard work she has put into organizing this retreat.
2013 Quilt Showcase Boutique Committee
Gwen gave a presentation of information from her meeting of the Guild Boutique Committee. After a long discussion on this matter, we as a chapter took a vote to not participate in the boutique as a seller.
Fundraising
Our 50/50 drawing has been bringing in approx. $25 a week.
It was decided that we would be having a Yard Sale on Apr. 20-21at Joanne's house. We will be donating items to be sold with all proceeds going into the Sterling Stitchers account to fund our charitable endeavors and other chapter expenses.
The sale will take place on Friday, Apr. 20 (8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) and Saturday, April 21 (8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.)

NEW BUSINESS:
--April Birthdays were recognized: Happy Birthday to Patty, Jane, Sandy M. & Marilee.
--Judy shared information about a bus trip to the Houston Quilt Show.
--Judy asked for some stencils to be used for the lettering on the showcase banner for our chapter.
