Quilting Guild of The Villages (QGOTV)

President Kathi Hronchek called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Kathi commented that going into summer months the chapter continues to have very good turnout for weekly meetings.

Secretary’s Report – Kathi noted correction for May Minutes that Nancy Rockwell gave Pillowcase for Smiles information.

Treasurer's Report - Penny noted that there are now 40 members on the roster.

President's Report - Kathi said that next guild meeting will be a "Sit N Sew" type meeting including a cake to honor 20th anniversary of the guild. Kathi reported there will be no more classes held at Savannah Center. In addition, when signing up for classes with the guild, any cancellation within last 14 days prior to class you will not get money returned. There is still no theme for Showcase 2015. Kathi relayed that the guild is asking members "what guild should do for you".

Old Business:

Shirley Larsen updated members on information about Lake Miona Chapter's bus to Paducah.

Project for PG Holiday Party - any size floral theme project.

Saturday, August 10th - need ideas for this next sewing day.

PG's Chinese Auction - scheduled for December 9th (2nd Monday).

Shirley Larsen reminded she is taking orders for Christmas Wreath wallhanging pattern (cost is $5).

Penny Gibson noted that she has cancelled possible class for PG with Sew Mini Things for lighted tree project.

New Business:

Joe Comer mentioned new area Shop Hop for July scheduled and tickets can be purchased at Sew Mini Things.

Show & Tell: Karen Anders, Penny Gibson, and Norma Swartz presented their projects.

Birthdays for June: Members celebrating birthdays in June are Delaine Koonce, Judy Ozbun, Anne Wolf, and Shirley Larsen.
