New Business

Ruth also outlined the upcoming Guild meetings and educational opportunities. She then introduced Lora Douglas from the Gainesville Modern Quilters Guild and Linda Hungerford from the Central Florida Modern Quilt Guild (Linda is also a member of the Bradenton Chapter). Lora and Linda talked about the characteristics of modern quilts and showed many beautiful modern quilts.
Show and Tell was presented on tables prior to and after the meeting. The membership approved of this new method of demonstrating quilts. There were eleven show-and-tell participants, seven 50/50 winners and seventeen name-tag winners.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
Respectfully Submitted,
Heather Farnell, Secretary
