The Executive Board of the Quilting Guild of The Villages met May 21st at Saddlebrook Recreation Center.  The meeting was called to order at 3:00 pm by President Alice Nicholas.

Ruth has been working with Pam Henry from the Villages Recreation Department to address meeting room concerns.

Chapter reps and chapter duties have been assigned.  Meetings will begin in the fall.   It was decided to have the Showcase at one venue only and the proposed dates are Friday and Saturday, January 23 and 24, 2015.  The steering committee is accepting suggestions for a theme for the Showcase.  This theme will be used for publicity, ribbons, etc..  Please email your theme suggestions to QGOTV.SC2015@gmail.org.

Mary Shara addressed the board with her concerns regarding the Guild Budget and Showcase proceeds.  She would like to see funds returned to the chapters rather than so much given to charity.  After discussion, Joyce Doig suggested Chapter Presidents survey their chapters on what they would like to see the Guild do for the Chapters.  This information should be reported to Marilyn Paluszak for the Long-Range Planning Committee.

President Nicholas made announcements regarding the following:
Boutique 4 Quilters invitation to visit their shop in Melbourne
Bus trip to Paducah being planned by Lake Miona Chapter for 2014
