Announcements:
President Nicholas has sent a challenge to all chapters. ConKerr Cancer was founded by a mom who made bright cheery pillowcases for her son, Ryan, who battled cancer. The challenge is to see how many pillowcases each chapter can make in the Month of February 2014. Directions are at http://www.conkerrcancer.org/volunteer/sew-pillowcases .
Cornerstone Hospice would like some more Angel Quilts: hopefully with a patriotic theme for their Veterans.
Honor Flight, the group that brings Vets to the DC Memorial, will be doing a special event at Brownwood on Remembrance Day (November 11). They asked for a quilt to be auctioned and Sea Breeze Chapter had one that a member donated on behalf of the Guild. This was a very generous offer and well appreciated.
Sea Breeze Chapter has offered to be Big Cypress's sister chapter.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:13 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Heather Farnell, Secretary
