The regular meeting of the QGOTV was held Tuesday November 5, 2013 at Laurel Manor Recreation Center
The meeting was called to order by President Alice Nicholas at 7:00 p.m.
After members recited the Pledge of Allegiance, President Nicholas welcomed the members and recognized guests present.
The Secretary's Report was accepted as read.
The Treasurer's report is on file.
Election of Officers was conducted. There was one candidate for each open position. Beth Bender was elected President by a show of hands and Teresa Hatfield was elected Treasurer by a show of hands. They will each serve a term of two years. As Teresa would not be able to attend the December Guild meeting, the Installation Ceremony was held for the 2014-2015 Officers. The guest speaker was Juanita Yeager who showed many of her beautiful and award winning quilts.
There will be a special Guild Meeting on November 14th. Jenny Doan from the Missouri Star Quilt Company will be giving a lecture at the Savannah Center at 9:00 A.M. The door fee is $5.
The Lowell Women's Prison is looking for dog bed donations. Contact Nancy Myers at 751-5685 for more information.
The Quilting B's are sponsoring a bus trip to The Quilt Place in Rockledge on Tuesday, November 19th. Tickets are $25. Contact Jeannine Haller at 753-2813 for more information.
There were sixteen show-and-tell participants, four name-tag winners and eight 50/50 winners.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
