Debbie's challenge to us is to help educate the public that not all quilts are simply fancy bedspreads. Many quilts are, in fact, fine art. Certainly her collection is worthy of that term.
President Alice Nicholas thanked those who helped with Showcase 2013 and the Charity Quilt and Silent Auction. On behalf of every Guild member, she then presented a check for $10,784.25 to the Haven of Lake and Sumter Counties. Kelly Smallridge, Executive Director, spoke about the services available to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
