MEMBER SHOW-N-TELL
OPERATION SHOEBOX.  Guild President Alice Nicholas (right) presented a check for $102 to Sandy DeChristofaro, Operation Shoebox Director.  A check for a similar amount will be sent to St. Vincent DePaul Society.  These donations reflect member generosity at the April 16 afternoon Guild meeting when Pat Knoechel showed members her newest rulers, quilts and her sister's (Eleanor Burns) latest quilting book.  Pat generously prefers donations go to local groups rather than payment.  Operation Shoebox collects thousands of items every year and makes ditty bags, knit caps and stockings to send hundreds of thousands of pounds to our service men and women.

6-Hour Quilt
Service Committee project
LOL, they kept multiplying
and multiplying
no more hands for all 30+ quilts
Allamanda's Service Committee selected Kaye Wood's 6-Hour Quilt for their first chat-n-sew project.  This simple sew as you go pattern allowed several members who are new to quilting to finish their first quilt.  The more experienced quilters found it a great way to practice free-motion stitching.  All in all, a great learning experience and lots of fun.
Learn a new technique or just enjoy sewing projects with others ... we can do both!
